MAKSIM FEDOTOV is a Russian violinist, “Russian Paganini”, “brilliant artist and perfect master” (Frankfurter Rundschau). He is Laureate and the winner of major International Violin Competitions: in Tokyo, International Tchaikovsky Competition, Paganini International Violin Competition. He is People’s Artist of Russia, Laureate of the Moscow Government Prize, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory, Head of Violin and Viola Chair of the Russian Music Academy. He gives guest appearances in the most prestigious concert halls worldwide. He plays with the major orchestras of the worlds. The musician performs with world famous conductors. An important part of his artistic life is occupied with performances and recordings in a duet with pianist Galina Petrova. Among his records there are also “24 Caprices” by Paganini (DML-classics) and a series of CDs “All music for a violin and orchestra by Bruch”(Naxos). Maxim Fedotov is the first violinist, who performed recital with two violins of N. Paganini - Guarneri del Jesu and J.B. Vuillaume (St.Petersburg, 2003). Creative and mental potential, great concert experience and, certainly, an example of his father - outstanding St. Petersburg conductor Victor Fedotov - has led him to conductor’s activity. Having finished the postgraduate study in Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory (Operatic and
 ymphonic Conducting) the musician began to collaborate as a conductor with a number of Russian, foreign symphonic and chamber orchestras. He has been the Principal Conductor of the Russian Symphony orchestra since 2003. In 2006 Maxim Fedotov took up his post as the Artistic director and the Principal conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic”, which he has been collaborating more than 10 years with.

GALINA PETROVA is a brilliant pianist - ensemble player. Her mastership is distinguished for “superb piano mastery combined with wonderful music intellectuality and artistic charm” (La Voce del Popolo). She is Merited Artist of Russia, Laureate of the Moscow Government Prize (2003). She performs in all prestigious concert halls of Russia. She toured in Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, Croatia, Australia, China, the countries of the Baltic area and others. She was elected to join Petrovskaya Academy of Science and Arts (St. Petersburg) as its Corresponding Member. She held master classes in Japan, Croatia and Australia. She participates in major festivals and culture events - “Moscow Stars”, “Russian winter”, “Talents of Russia”, “Stars of the Planet”, Russian culture festivals in different countries. She took part in the “Millennium Concert” at the Grand Hall of the UN General Assembly (New York, 2000). She made recordings for CDs released by DMLclassics, Naxos, Gold Club, etc. She is the partner of violinist Maxim Fedotov in all their chamber performances. Their duet is considered to be the most harmonious ensemble of contemporaneity. “Musicians with temperament of a tiger”, “the best Moscow duet” (The Independent Newspaper), “brilliant Russian virtuosos” (Nice Matin).
